Our work could not continue without help from our amazing volunteers and the companies who support us.

About Us

The Moses Project is a registered charitable company which provides guidance, mentoring and support to hundreds of adult males with past and current addictions to drugs and alcohol. The men usually live in chaotic circumstances and are suffering the consequences of long-term self-abuse.

Assistance is given with housing and benefit applications, introduction to positive lifestyles, one-to-one support along with regular team-building events and activities. The Moses Project works closely with all commissioned agencies, i.e. Stockton Borough Council Outreach Services, CGL, Probation Services and NHS Mental Health. We have developed close working links with housing groups and the homeless section at Stockton Borough Council.

By offering support with life’s everyday problems in a caring environment where everyone is welcomed, we provide clients with the opportunity to recover, rebuild their lives and become re-engaged with society.

We see our clients as family. We set about helping men see a different life in many ways and put on many events to take their minds away from their addiction.

We work closely with three Christian Rehabilitation centres and can arrange for rapid entry to one of these centres. A supervised medical detox can be arranged if necessary.

We are a Christian organisation, and this ethos and associated values underpin everything we do.

Our clients are treated like family members – helping them build trusting and life-changing relationships.

Rebuilt relationships are the pathway to new self-confidence, confidence that brings a future filled with hope.

Good things happen in Stockton and CSJ recognised this at their 2022 awards celebration in London last year.

We are truly honoured and humbled to win. Following the success of the evening we were even luckier, we had listening ears, MPs and policy makers around is hearing us champion the work we need to continue as times get tougher for our beneficiaries.

Brian was able to be our guys advocates speaking about Methadone and pointing out the need for dealing with the root causes of addiction. We were invited back to CSJ to discuss further our views to assist overall recovery from Addiction.
We met some wonderful people and passionate people about their Charities.

Another brilliant Thursday spent with the lads and Rob at our weekly guitar sessions. The sound of strumming, laughter and encouragement filled the room once again.

For the men, these sessions are about so much more than learning chords and songs. They are about finding calm, focus and purpose. Each note played helps ease the mind, lift the spirit and build confidence.

Music gives the men a voice when words are hard to find. It reminds them that recovery is not only about what you leave behind but also what you discover along the way.

A huge thank you to Rob for giving his time, energy and patience each week. Watching the progress and pride in the men as they learn and grow together is something truly special.

Recently, The Moses Project team were delighted to attend the 𝗙𝗶𝘅𝗲𝗱 𝟮𝟱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, hosted by the 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗺 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁.

The Fixed Conference is an incredible national event that brings together people from all walks of life who have experienced addiction, recovery and transformation through faith. It is a celebration of changed lives, of second chances, and of the power of community and belief in something greater.

Throughout the day, we heard the most powerful testimonies from men and women who have overcome addiction, crime and brokenness, now living lives filled with purpose and hope. The atmosphere was electric, full of encouragement and the shared understanding that no life is beyond repair.

For us at The Moses Project, it was both humbling and inspiring. Events like this remind us exactly why we do what we do, walking alongside men as they rebuild their lives and discover the freedom that comes with hope and faith.
A huge thank you to everyone at Proclaim Trust for hosting such a moving and life changing event, and to everyone who shared their stories with such honesty and courage.

We came away renewed, reminded and ready to keep changing lives here in our own community.

Another brilliant start to the week for our 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 as we spent the day at the beautiful seaside town of Saltburn.

We enjoyed a picturesque route that combined beach and countryside paths, taking in the sea breeze, stunning coastal views and dramatic scenery.

The lads chatted, laughed and supported each other along the way, making the most of the peaceful surroundings and fresh air.

After the walk, we rounded off the day perfectly with some delicious fish and chips and plenty of smiles all round.

These walks are about more than just exercise.
They are about connection, friendship and the reminder that there is life beyond addiction.
Each step taken represents progress, hope and the strength to keep moving forward.

📋 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
🕒 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀: 20 per week
💷 𝗣𝗮𝘆: £12.60 per hour
✅ 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
👩‍🍳 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: Preferred

📅 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻:
- Tuesday 9am to 2pm
- Wednesday 9am to 2pm
-Thursday 3.30pm to 8.30pm
- Friday 9am to 2pm

Your interaction with the men could be the only positive conversation they have today, and the meal you prepare could be the only hot one they receive.
